In days of old, when people were not very mature, teachers used simple stories or fables to illustrate the higher truths. People nowadays are more intelligent, in the sense that they can grasp the higher truths more easily. Therefore, when they are presented with a fairy tale and are told that it will lead them towards a higher state of mind, scepticism takes over. The natural recourse for this is to present spirituality in its pristine form and without disguising the truth. This is precisely what the Modern system of Pranic healing and Arhatic Yoga was designed to do. Sri Sai Cholleti is a senior disciple of Grand Master Choa Kok Sui, an innovative thinker, a gifted healer and teacher. He has influenced the way of living of many people across many countries and spread the quintessential nature of Indian culture across the world. Thanks to Sri Sai, the forgotten tradition of Guru-Chela has been revived, surprisingly, in Europe. Coincidence never happens by chance. What Srila Prabhupada did in New York, Yogananda in California, Vishnudevananda in New York, Sri Sai did and indeed is still doing, in Germany and Europe. All of them arrived in foreign lands, practically penniless and went on, successfully, to spread their teachers teachings. The Occident with its typical materialistic thinking and a tendency to have a scientific approach and answer to everything can present a formidable barrier to any school which has anything to do with spirituality. To make people accept the spiritual way of life is indeed a Herculean task. Sri Sai Cholleti had everything going against him when he first stepped into Germany. The inhospitable cold weather conditions, a most difficult language, foreign culture, and a young age. This difficult time was overcome only (to quote Sri Sai): “by the blessings of my teacher Grand Master Choa Kok Sui.” Presently, the organisation run by Sri Sai Cholleti has over 70 centres in Germany and all over Europe with a membership of more than 8000. These centres propagate the essence of Indian traditions along with the teaching of Prana. Sri Sai regularly tours all over Germany and Europe and monitors the working of the organisation. The background Sri Sai was born on 11 June 1967 in Hyderabad, A.P. He was educated in Oasis School, which was modelled along the line of thoughts of the great thinker, Jiddu Krishnamurthy. He had a spiritual bent of mind since childhood. As a youth, he was introduced to many schools of thoughts like Swami Sivananda, Father Bede, Sri Aurbindo, Ramana Maharshi etc. where he picked up the different ways of perception. Combining a spiritual tendency with a methodical scientific approach, he was seeking the thread with which to connect the seemingly different truths. Fate brought him to Germany where he first met his Guru, the Grand Master Choa Kok Sui. GMCKS saw in him the ideal instrument with which to overcome the difficulties the West was grappling with. Sri Sai was initiated into the Modern Pranic School and was made the sole representative of this school in Germany. He started out with Pranic teaching through a translator and soon went on to teach by himself. He was highly successful from the beginning since the system was a radical approach and almost a panacea. He went on from teaching Pranic healing to training people to become teachers and better healers. Currently, he lives in Munich with his family. |

It is an undisputed fact that India is the cradle of spirituality and has been the beacon of spiritual guidance to the world since many centuries. There is an age-old adage in India that ‘The person who knows never tells and the person who tells never knew’. This concept became ever more deep-rooted in the minds of people and produced, logically, doubts within them. Even more so in the minds of ‘educated’ people who wanted, of course, a scientific explanation or proof. Spiritual teachers have and had always their own ways of leading a student towards the right path. |
